My brother is interested in cpop. For
archival purposes, he burns his mp3s to CD. However, chinese directories
on CD cannot be accessed by English Windows. Go figure. Darn
Microsoft again. btw, the same problem exists for chinese directories
on the hard drive. Why this problem exists, I have no idea.
Anyway, to keep compatiblity with English Windows, he renames the directories
and filenames to 01,02, and so on. To keep the convenience of browsing
with chinese windows but using this number directory structure, I wrote
CBrowser.
CBrowser takes in an index file with the directory names and chinese
names and gives you a convenient interface. It calls windows to open
up the files. Therefore, it can be used w/any file type. e.g.
mp3, mid, txt. It is also not limited to just chinese. I'm
sure it can be used w/other languages, though I have not tested it. |
CBrowser sports an explorer-like interface. Just double click
to activate the song. The "<--" takes you up directories.
